Canada Coffee Pods: 18.4% of North American Revenue

Canada now accounts for 18.4% of North America's coffee pod and capsule revenue — not far off the US at 62.8%. That's a lot of single-serve volume for a market

The broader Canada coffee market sits at $24.5B in 2025, and pods are the fastest-growing format inside it, with a 4.8% CAGR projected through 2035. Private-label retail pods are pushing hard against Nespresso and Keurig-compatible brands on shelf.

What trips up first-time exporters isn't the product, it's the pack. Canada runs on strict bilingual labelling: English and French with equal prominence, metric net quantity listed first, and a mandatory origin statement or “Imported by” declaration if you don't carry a Canadian address on pack. Miss one of those and your shipment sits at the border while a label gets redesigned.

We built Radar's market-entry pillar for exactly this gap between market size and market access — size and growth on one side, the regulatory checklist on the other, for any product and country.

Working on a different product-market pair? Drop the product and country in the comments and we'll feature one as a future Radar Request.

We talk to exporters and brand teams every week, and the pattern holds: it's rarely the product that trips people up. It's one of three things. Regulation — certification, labelling, import rules that shift after you've…
